United States, Ar... Preferred Partner "Ozark Business Weekly is a weekly, positive, colorful, entertaining, & spirtual weekly, paper. Started in Dec. 1999 as a traditional plain jane shopper closed its doors in our area. We distribute 12000 copies on Friday of each week, and by Monday most locations are completely out of papers. The public has really fell in love with the paper and the paper has become solid with consistant advertisers who have had great sucess with their ads in our paper. 3 full time employees include the original owner and main composition person. 4 parttime employees help distribute the paper. One of the main contributing factors to the success and the potential success is the Ozark Singles Connection, a single club that is very privacy and hugely popular to read and study by singles and marrieds who just enjoy the life stories in each singles person ad. The singles group was started as a measure to advertisers of the strength of the readership of OBW and the OSC has brought that to everyones attention. With growth from 5 members in early January to more that 300 members at this writing and consistant growth in the 5 to 10 new members a day. The free classifieds, the singles, the colorful (4 color proscess, on 50lb paper give the paper the readers, the look, the feel and the postitive message any community can enjoy. A paper the whole family can look through, enjoy and laugh together from. Started in December w/8 pages & 8000 copies, now averaging over 16 pages and 12000 copies. Potential growth is staggering. The distribution area is spread out over 100 mile raduis of Mountain Home, Arkansas covering north central Arkansas and south central Missouri, and we're being invited into towns and area's as fast as people get a chance to see the Ozark Business Weekly. With many retired Midwest, and California residents in the area, it has been widely accepted by the public, because it looks so colorful, and has such a positive message each week. Contrary to most of the shopper type's in our area which are traditional black & white, 90% want ads and display ads, which get pretty dull after the first page or two. Our advertiser are on a page with readability and impact on every page. 4 writers currently send postitive messages to the area public each week. None are being paid except for the knowledge that they are being published in a positive, colorful paper that caught their eye, and they wanted to be associated with it. New comers to the area pick up the Ozark Business Weekly first, and get an upbeat, family paper to help them get aquainted with the area, and the ozark lifestyle, and flavor without it getting to hokie. The paper has a tight, conscise layout due to the efforts of part owner, and composition manager with 22 yrs magazine layout and printing on a national level.
