Chief Executive Officer Preferred Partner I am CEO of The ICEHOUSE which was established in 2001 by The University of Auckland and is a collaborative partnership between Bank of New Zealand, Telecom New Zealand, Boston Consulting Group, Minter Ellison, Ernst Young, Microsoft, HP and the Business School. The ICEHOUSE is a business growth centre whose mission is to help more companies to be successful internationally. So we have established a range of different interventions and growth enablers to help companies grow, whether that is a high tech startup from a University or an established Kiwi company or a large exporter. As part of the ICEHOUSE journey I get involved in lots of R&D, Venture Capital and Growth matters ie being on the Board of ICE Angels our Angel Network, being on the investment committee for our Start-Up Fund, being Chair of the Angel Association NZ or being Deputy-Chair of the Metro Project - Innovation Group for Auckland which is trying to drive Auckland to become more internationally competitive. Prior to joining the Icehouse, I was CEO and Director of Inventure, Fletcher Building’s venture capital arm that he established in 1998. I was also a member of the Advisory Board of Unitec’s Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, and Chair of the Unitec Accelerator from 1999 to 2001. Way back when - I began as a commercial lawyer for 3 years at Russell McVeagh one of NZ's leading firms, after graduating in 1992 with a Bachelor of Commerce, LLB Honours.
