United States, Ne... "The Company High Council Entertainment is a record label specializing in rap music, the fastest growing music genre. High Council Entertainment is located at 17-21 Fire Island Avenue in Babylon, New York. It is 45 minutes from New York City and one block from the Babylon train station which has regular express trains to Manhattan. The Concept Our goal is to put out quality rap music that does not focus on hustling, drug dealing, and a gangster lifestyle. High Council Entertainment will take an action adventure approach, modeling our image, videos, and music around movies such as Die Hard, James Bond, and The Matrix. We will incorporate this formula which works so well on screen into the music we release. High Council Entertainment can pursue this image without straying too far from what is popular. The excitement and rebellious nature of rap music will still be expressed in this new image, but with a higher energy level and a high-tech look. This will appeal to current rap fans that are tired of the repetitive themes in rap music and attract a new audience that could not relate to the gangster image. Products High Council Entertainment’s first release will be from the group High Council. The group has four members, including company founder’s Patrick Steele and Bolaji Barber. Each member has over ten years experience. The group is aggressive and action packed on stage and on record. Marketing and Sales Strategy Dean Jackson of Jackson’s Marketing and Promotions (see ‘The Team’ section) will handle the bulk of our promotional efforts. Dean has an extensive list of long standing contacts in radio, video, retail, and record pools. He has support personnel throughout the country to follow up on his efforts and monitor his progress. His methods have produced many hit records. High Council Entertainment will support Dean Jackson’s efforts by; - purchasing radio, television, and magazine advertisements - hiring a telemarketing company to request our releases - arranging cooperative advertisements with retail chains - hiring street teams to put up posters and hand out flyers in key areas - paying mix tape DJs to include our releases on their tapes - having our artists appear at retail locations - having our artist on a busy performance schedule - hiring promoters that specialize in charting records on Billboard - a targeted email and banner campaign on the internet - video promotions Stage of Development High Council Entertainment has already developed and test marketed its first release, the group High Council. Their single is currently playing on over 20 college and commercial radio stations in the north east. They have made multiple appearances on television and have a full performance schedule. They are receiving excellent reviews from record pools, professional DJ's, and the press. High Council Entertainment has secured distribution through Echo International. Echo International has offices in the United States and Europe. They offer worldwide distribution and handle many major label accounts. They have agreed to cover the duplication costs for pieces distributed through them. They have also agreed to assist in retail promotions. The Future High Council Entertainment will put out a release a year for the first two years. These releases will be from the rap group High Council. Two releases will occur in the third year. One group will be High Council. The other group will be chosen during the second year and will make multiple appearances on the High Council’s second release to introduce them to the public. High Council Entertainment will seek to ally itself with a major label. Most successful independent labels eventually opt to join with a major label because they offer increased exposure and very large recording and promotional budgets. Rap record label Cash Money Records recently signed a thirty million dollar deal with Universal Records. Universal Records approached the then independent Cash Money Records after Cash Money sold only 30,000 pieces. No Limit Records, also a rap label, signed a multi-million dollar deal with Priority Records after selling only 70,000 records. High Council Entertainment projects sales of 100,000 records in its first year. Funds Sought and Utilization High Council Entertainment seeks $500,000 in investme...
