United States, Ca... "Business Overview: SoftShores is in the business of solving site management and IT problems for its customers. We provide ‘Internet Managed Infrastructure ‘ service. At present, we are partnering with Exodus for hosting and have our infrastructure equipment and staff to provide the service. We are in the process of designing proprietary products for monitoring and reporting. While, architecture and design is being done here by our engineers, the development work will be done in India. We will be building a monitoring and support center in India over the next twelve months to take advantage of the availability of skilled engineers at a much lower cost. The market for Internet Managed Infrastructure Services is projected to be over $10 billion by 2004 according to Forrester research data. This space is the next generation of Internet services. Loudcloud, Mimecom and Datareturn are the early leaders. The demand out strips the supply and is expected to continue to do so for several years. The market is big and growing. As the market grows, most companies in the digital world will see the value in outsourcing infrastructure management. Application Monitoring is also relatively new service, which has few companies as competition. Mimecom and Loudcloud claim to provide application level monitoring but is limited in its offering. This is known as custom service. Forrester estimates that by 2004, the demand for custom services will be worth $20 billion. SoftShores will be the market leader in this category and will support most widely used applications. We will also offer customized plans for niche and legacy applications. The support for this 24/7 monitoring will be provided from our network operating center in Silicon Valley as well as in India. We will have support from India as the time difference allows us to have a virtual 24 hrs operations as well as reduce our operating cost. (to provide custom services, it is imperative that we have breadth and depth in various platforms and networks. To do this cost efficiently, we would be best served if we effectively leverage our development center in India. The availability/cost ratio is more favorable in India than the USA. The infrastructure (bandwidth) is expected to improve over the next 12 months and it should not be an issue after that due to deregulation of the international communications effective 8/15/2000) As part of our offering, we will have a small group to offer professional services for web development and staff augmentation. This will be a non core offering to customers who prefer to deal with just one company for building the site and then managing it. The market place for the web development, staff augmentation and systems integration is well represented with well reputed companies like Sapient, Scient, March First, Lantec, and there are numerous smaller firms. But the demand for professional services is very high and growing. IDC projects that the demand for these services will grow from $78 billion to $240 billion by 2004. The market for software development from India, per McKenzie, will grow from $3 billion to $87 Billion by 2007. We are going to be opportunistic in this area.
